Hi I'm Josh Curtis, welcome to my site.

I live in the beautiful North Carolina Mountains. I am a network systems consultant, freelance sound engineer, and musician. Mainly I solve problems, usually of a technical nature. I also dabble in visual design and fly fishing...

More specifically, my days usually involve server maintenance and monitoring of a dozen enterprise networks, while fighting the new wave of spam techniques that day, whilst tracking down problems in log retention, or vulnerable php scripts.

I am a highly proficient systems administrator in either a windows or linux environment; iis, apache, sendmail, qmail, mailscanner, perl, php, mysql, nagios, snort (obviously I enjoy the *nix world a little more than bill's.)

I also freelance in live or recorded sound reproduction and engineering. I've worked with Mackie and Midas ;) (yeah, I used a smiley, so what). I still play a little bass, guitar and violin. I've also recently started building mesh-head electronic drums. I'm more than comfortable running front-of-house for a few thousand, usually it's bluegrass fans though, so they tend to be pretty sedate.
